Coyote
Long lunar arms that coldly sift
Through holes on a black forest's roof
Betray a silver shadow lurking
The silent thief forever hunting
He lives by grace of teeth and ears
And eyes that see on cloudy nights
Coyote legs to outrun deer
And thick grey fur to shroud his might
Gently loping through snowy woods
His sole is touched by moonlight floods
His lonely wail of emptiness
Precedes him in the cold abyss
Her soft reply enchants his world
Today's Sunset
The bold gold strokes of sunlit clouds
On grey expanse of frozen lake
At dusk today were softly mirrored
Night began in their crimson wake
